Heat Pump Technology
In India refrigeration cycle has predominantly being used only for cooling applications, however its heating application has got limited exposure. Heat Pump technology uses the heating effect of the same refrigeration cycle. Depending upon source, Heat Pumps can be classified as either air source, water source or ground source. With air source heat pumps, heat is absorbed from air (atmosphere) and transferred to water. Since, substantial heat is absorbed from atmosphere heat pump requires very little energy to serve water heating application. Hence it can be classified as energy saving technology as compared to any conventional water heating technology.
